Favorite Milestones to Preserve

There does not have to be a major occasion to photograph your child.

Maybe your baby has just learned to sit independently, or their first birthday is approaching. Perhaps your toddler’s personality seems bigger by the day, or you have realized that it has simply been too long since you documented this version of them.

The Sitter Stage

(6–9 months)

Once your baby can sit independently, an entirely new little personality seems to emerge.

This stage is full of gummy smiles, curious expressions, tiny toes, belly rolls, and so much delight. It is one of the sweetest—and quickest—seasons of babyhood to document.

Growing Up

Nine months. Eighteen months. 5 years old. New curls. Missing teeth. A favorite lovey. Two siblings at an age they will never be together again.

Some seasons do not come with an official milestone—but they are still worth remembering. Studio Milestone Sessions can be used to document any stage of childhood that feels meaningful to your family.

First Birthdays

One whole year of knowing and loving them.

First birthday sessions celebrate everything that has changed since those earliest newborn days. We will capture classic portraits, emerging expressions, and all the personality your one-year-old brings into the studio.

A simple cake may be added for a few sweet and playful cake-smash images, or we can keep the entire session timeless and cake-free. Both are beautiful ways to celebrate this milestone.
